why buy local

In 2009 and 2010 the United Communities Credit Union responded to the significant increase in demand on area food banks. They donated $75,000 in perishable foods (apples, potatoes, ground beef and sausage) from local farmers to food banks in several areas, including Huron and Perth counties.

Providing opportunities for fresh options at local food banks is a great way to help our community be a health community.
